Tokoname Ware, Shōwa Period
Product Details|
This tea set is attributed to 浅井樂然, an active ceramic craftsman during the Shōwa period, known for his work in Tokoname ware.
The set is formed in white clay, a material frequently used in Tokoname during the mid-20th century for tea utensils.
The clay body allows the wheel-thrown lines and brushing marks to remain visible, giving the surface a soft rhythm rather than a decorative finish.
Each vessel shows slight variation in contour and thickness, reflecting a hand-centered making process.
Rather than emphasizing visual impact, the set prioritizes balance, usability, and a calm tactile experience.
